Shopping with Archive District

These terms apply to the Archive District online store and purchases made through it. Read them together with our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy. South African consumer law takes priority over any conflicting wording.

Products and sizing

Review the product description, photographs, selected size and colour before ordering. Display settings can affect how colours appear, but goods must still match their description and the standards required by law.

Size systems differ between brands and styles. If a listing does not identify the size system or you need measurements, contact us before ordering. Our Shopping & Sizing Help page explains what information to send.

We source products from suppliers. We will confirm with you if an item becomes unavailable and will not replace it with another style, colour or size without your agreement. Brand names identify the products offered and do not by themselves imply an official partnership or endorsement.

Prices and payment

Store prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Applicable shipping and tax amounts are shown in the checkout total before you pay. Pay only through a payment method offered by our checkout. Do not send card details, passwords or one-time banking codes by email, social media or the contact form.

Review and correct your order details before submitting payment. We will send an order acknowledgement to the email address supplied at checkout. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder or contact us.

If a material pricing or listing error affects your order, we will contact you and resolve it in line with applicable consumer law. We will not charge an additional amount or substitute goods without your agreement. Price changes for future orders do not change an already agreed order price.

Order availability, changes and cancellation

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We will explain its processing status and the options available. An item being ordered from a supplier does not automatically remove your cancellation rights.

If we cannot supply an item, we will notify you and refund the affected payment. Any cancellation or refund must respect the applicable legal requirements and deadlines. Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains voluntary returns and statutory remedies.

Delivery

We use The Courier Guy for South African deliveries. Supplier processing happens before courier transit. Charges, timing, address corrections, tracking and delivery problems are covered by our Shipping Policy. Agreed delivery commitments and your legal remedies continue to apply.

Responsible use of the store

Provide accurate order and contact information and keep any account login secure. Do not use the store for fraud, unlawful purchases, impersonation, unauthorised access or interference with its operation. We may restrict misuse, but this does not cancel a valid refund or other obligation we owe you.

You must have legal capacity to make a purchase or have the assistance or consent required by law. The store is hosted on Shopify; Archive District handles product, order and customer-service enquiries.

Privacy and reviews

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Reviews you submit should reflect your own genuine experience and must not include another person's private information. We do not require a positive review to resolve an order problem.

Consumer protection and complaints

Nothing in these terms excludes a mandatory consumer right, an applicable product-quality guarantee, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact us with your order number and the issue so we can investigate. You retain the right to approach the appropriate consumer ombud, regulator or court; our support process does not replace those rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future use of the store. The date above identifies the current version. Changes do not retrospectively reduce rights relating to an existing order. Keep your order confirmation and a copy of the policies that applied when you purchased.
